Karen Krikorian

Karen has been with Discovery Behavioral Health as a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2020, seeing adult patients for a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD and mood disorders. She worked as a nurse at Harborview Medical Center for many years, then graduated from the University of Washington Masters in Nursing program in 2013. Her clinical background is in inpatient and crisis work, and she has found it rewarding to see how patients continue to grow and heal in an outpatient environment. She finds it fulfilling to guide people through the process of diagnosis, lifestyle changes and medication management. Understanding the complexities of living with mental illness and the joy that can be found in healing is an important part of her work. When not at work, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, reading and enjoying the beautiful outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
